The Motion of Walking

The act of walking laid the foundation for the design of a pair of shoes. Studies in photograph were created to capture the motion of walking. Plaster studies were then formed around the foot in motion, 3D scanned, and rebuilt in Maya. The shoes that emerged from this process embodied the motion of walking.
